Goodbye John Galliano

John Galliano is one of the most influential fashion designers.  He was dismissed as creative director for couture house Christian Dior for allegedly making anti-Semitic comments during a night out in Paris last month.

Ever since Galliano bowed out, Paris has been awash with speculation over who might replace him.  I have always been a big fan of Galliano and I hope the next designer will continue excite me with beautiful designs.

John Galliano:
"I only have myself to blame and I know that I must face up to my own failures and that I must work hard to gain people's understanding and compassion,"

My little collection of Dior during John Galliano Era 1996 - 2011, I will definitely miss John Galliano's design talent.

  2. Lovely accessoires :-)
I agree, I'll miss him, too, but it's right that he had to go. I wonder what was going on in his head when he made these statements - not much, I suppose...
Thank you very much for your comment, I'm following you back :-)

  9. His personal views do not affect the fact that he is a fashion genius. I hope he will make a comeback soon.

    Have a great week!

  19. R.I.P. Dior. <3
Galliano is SUCH an amazing designer. It really is a shame that his influence will be missing in the Dior brand. I can't wait to see if he designs anything on his own.

  29. HI Melody,

Sorry took me a while to reply to your message. Was nearly half dead and just got back from flight last night. Hope you are well. Erm, as to you question regarding Chanel jacket advice: I think I am the wrong person to ask. I should be asking you as I think you are more of a Chanel queen....or Dior queen too.....I really could just live and sleep inside your wardrobe.....please, may I ?!
