Enamel H Bangle

I visited two Hermes boutiques in Rome, I was hoping to find a Birkin or Kelly.  Of course there were no sight of Birkin or Kelly for a regular walk in tourist like me :(  But I refuse to go home empty handed from Hermes.

Luckily I was able to found something I love from both stores.

So happy!!!

Birkin Bag...not really :p

I first discovered Banane Taipei early this year and I have asked my girlfriend to get me one from Taiwan, but they were so popular that I have to be on the waiting list to get one, it is just like the real Birkin LOL

Anyway, I remember the bag was selling for around $59 USD, but now the price went up to $119USD...I don't think I want to pay $119USD for a fabric Birkin...Plus, I finally got my first Birkin this month :)  I can't wait to reveal my baby :p

Hermes Scarves

I have never understood why some women are so crazy over the Hermes Scarves? But after I purchased my own scarves last week.  Now I have become one of them :p

Birkin or Kelly?

I have to admit...I can't really tell the difference between Birkin and Kelly until last year :p

From far, both style look very similar.  I found the easiest way to identity the two bags is by looking at the handle.  

Birkin has two handles attached to the front and back of the bag and they are longer than Kelly's handle.

 

Kelly only has one short handle on the top of the bag.

Here are more interesting facts about the two famous Hermes bags:


Birkin:
Named after Jane Birkin.  
Sizes are 25, 30, 35, and 40 centimeters
It also comes in 45 and 50 centimeter as a travel bag
An average Birkin bag is created in 48 hours
More casual and can be use as a briefcase
It is easier to open than the Kelly
Victoria Beckham owns more than 100 Birkins ~ She is expecting a girl this summer, a lucky girl who will inherit all her mom's Birkins :p

Forever Classic Bags

Chanel and Hermes are the top designer houses in the fashion industry.

Why?  Women are crazy over their classic handbags that were designed from many years ago.

I know people own more than one Chanel 2.55 in various materials, colours, or sizes.  Should anyone own more than one handbag with just variations in colours or materials?

Well, I told my husband, classic handbags like Chanel 2.55 or Hermes Birkin will last forever; because the price will only go up every year and the styles will never retire.  So it is like an investment, maybe I can resale my collection during my retirement, since it might outperform my stock portfolio. LOL.

Birkin Wishlist

I visited two Hermes Boutiques in Barcelona last month, and I was hoping to get a Birkin.  Of course, there was no Birkin on the shelf.

Both stores have a long wishlist for Birkin, Kelly or even Constance.

I added my name to the long list and hopefully the sales lady will contact me this year :)

Ended 2010 with new purchases from Hermes.

I wish one of the items was Birkin, but no luck in 2010!...Let's hope my first Birkin will arrive in 2011 :)

Still waiting...

I ordered my first Birkin since last year November and I am still waiting for its arrival.  While people like celebutante Kim Kardashian was able to purchase few in a day.

I guess that is the benefit for being a celebrity :)
